It wasn't until I was researching candles for No. 35 Oak Lane that I realised that in order to make them last longer and burn well there are a few rules to follow. So to get the best out of your soy candle remember the following step by step guide....
The first thing to do before lighting your candle is to trim the wick to roughly 1/8" but not too short as the flame will be unable to burn all the wax.
- When burning your candle for the first time let the wax melt to the sides of the jar. Maximum time recommended for burning your candles is 3 - 4 hours.
- If possible use a snuffer to extinguish the flame.
- Be safe when burning your candles. Do not leave them unattended and place on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Also keep your candles out of reach of children and pets.
- Finally, simply relax and enjoy your beautifully scented candle!
